I live on a small estate of about 75 houses. At Christmastime, they arrange Christmas carols with mulled wine and mince pies, a Santa to visit all the children (my granddaughter used to love it when she lived here) and a raffle. This year, I won a bottle of white wine. The next social event will be a BBQ on the green in the summer. When Covid was with us, I was one of those who helped arrange a "social distancing" street party. People are also wandering about hand-delivering Christmas cards

There was a sense of community in Yuma while I was there. Did I tell you guys what happened and why I left? It wasn't by choice. Honestly, I often wish I were still there and that people hadn't been such jerks.
Community activities sound so nice. I live in a big city and there is not much sense of community here. I could get involved more with the community but frankly, I don't want to get into the busybody frame of mind.
Not my best bit of work, but it has been trending all day on Giphy in the UK
