Miraculously it's somewhat sunny in my neck if the forest... We've had lots of trees down too..
@Corinne Howell - Yes, you can follow me from D*. I tagged you on my post and provided the link. Just over over it and add me. I tagged your diasp.org account.
@David Lazarus You have to be politically correct on Twitter. Dave had a rough start on Twitter at first.
I also had a rough start on Twitter at first but then I learned what I can and cannot do.
Between Friendica (and Pluspora until it's gone. I don't post, but respond to notifications from comments on others' posts.), here, FB and my art blog, I've got more than enough to keep me busy. And that doesn't include all of the activism emails that I receive.
I don't like Facebook. @Dave Sutton Does Facebook give you any traction with your art?
I believe Twitter is more of a messaging (Tweets) platform. Comments going everywhere. Art seems to not need any links to an original post. Just throw in the art and people find it then they try to find out who you are and decide to follow. G+, which was good, relied on original posts with comments attached. Profiles were important. Twitter profiles are minimalistic. Twitter is the originator of the hashtag, I believe. Hashtags are important when you need to link up all these Tweets/comments going everywhere.
@Craig Long - I don't care for FB either. However, I have potential for larger reach on there than Diaspora. Friendica might level the playing field a bit since it is federated with several platforms and pushes posts to those platforms. According to this, you are correct about hashtags.
To be honest, once I posted a few gifs on Twitter I did not have much choice, but to get involved because I have notched up almost 1200 followers without even trying.
No, Pluspora will be gone by the end of the month and so will your data. Here's the message from Di Cleverly: https://7tm8l.r.ah.d.sendibm4.com/mk/mr/a7bfBq4PSMhNCRyM0h-JmwglKy6rh4rNCqE2G6zxJtQW0aXR8ZyU_Maocs0toqna82CJueoXdOBFDL7vYbZ1sNM3LlFj1GQbMgQImN5mhWd3F9w1SuXt-BNG05QAqwTz0eiCCQ
