I'm going to assume your all aware that pluspora is dying... :0(
Just wanted to say that dr morbious is showing lots of things re: about transferring all your data.. before it's all lost.. How too's & whatnot..
It's a bit sad that 2 pods are dying.. Especially since joinDiaspora was the original 1st pod.... :0(
On a brighter note.. ;0) it's raining again!!😆.. Have you been affected by the recent storms..? What's with the naming of storms..? This last one was Gladys.. before that i think it was Dora or similar..
I wonder if they'll start using more adventurous ones...!!..?? (Or at least current one's..😂)
I never thought I would say this, but I'm beginning to like twitter, Craig has guided me on the use of it and there were a few old friends there. It's sad about Pluspora. I still get emails telling me that someone has followed me, but I really felt vulnerable when using it.
The storms have blown down a few trees and a few roof tiles have gone missing, but it is nowhere like the storm where we in Sevenoaks lost six of our oak trees.
Cannot wait to sit in my garden in the sun with a glass of ouzo and ice, my neighbours have been sitting out there already, but they are really eccentric and have been known to have BBQs when it is snowing.
@Corinne Howell - Where ever you go, please be sure to add my Friendica profile to your contacts: I'd love for @Dave Sutton to join me there, but I know he's been a bit hesitant since that issue he had with Pluspora.
To be honest, once I posted a few gifs on Twitter I did not have much choice, but to get involved because I have notched up almost 1200 followers without even trying.
Between Friendica (and Pluspora until it's gone. I don't post, but respond to notifications from comments on others' posts.), here, FB and my art blog, I've got more than enough to keep me busy. And that doesn't include all of the activism emails that I receive.
I don't like Facebook. @Dave Sutton Does Facebook give you any traction with your art?
I believe Twitter is more of a messaging (Tweets) platform. Comments going everywhere. Art seems to not need any links to an original post. Just throw in the art and people find it then they try to find out who you are and decide to follow. G+, which was good, relied on original posts with comments attached. Profiles were important. Twitter profiles are minimalistic. Twitter is the originator of the hashtag, I believe. Hashtags are important when you need to link up all these Tweets/comments going everywhere.
@Craig Long - I don't care for FB either. However, I have potential for larger reach on there than Diaspora. Friendica might level the playing field a bit since it is federated with several platforms and pushes posts to those platforms. According to , you are correct about hashtags.
@David Lazarus You have to be politically correct on Twitter. Dave had a rough start on Twitter at first.
I also had a rough start on Twitter at first but then I learned what I can and cannot do.
Nice one as usual.
Made that for last year's pancake day, do you celebrate it over there?
@Dave Sutton , but I never knew about it.
@Dave Sutton I've never heard of Pancake Day. I've never heard of "Shrove Tuesday" either and had to look that up.
I thought it said Shove Tuesday. On Mondays I used to say "Shove it".
Yummm.. Pancakes... 😋..
Hiya all hope your all ok..?

@David Lazarus
You are both welcome on Twitter. I only follow about 15 people there which makes it easy.
Dave is really into Twitter and I'm not into it so much.
To be honest, once I posted a few gifs on Twitter I did not have much choice, but to get involved because I have notched up almost 1200 followers without even trying.
@Dave Sutton Well you have something original to post. All I post are links and clips of news articles.

Strange place really as you can use really bad language, promote marijuana but step outside the politically correct circle, and you get jumped on.
@Dave Sutton That's what happened to Trump.
