I made the train animation before I moved here, which was 22 years ago, and thought I would try and integrate it with another animation. This is the result, and it will be easy to add other things rather than Betty Boop As I post every day on Twitter I thought I would post this animation as I thought it would not raise much interest and I could have a break from replying to whoever liked it WRONG!
I see it has raised 29 likes and 4 shares so far, which just shows you can never predict how a Twitter post may be received.
I have replied to Kathy's email and have suggested she should have another try at talking to us here or on Twitter. Do you have any thoughts on the possible purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk?
That's a cute animation. I saw it on Twitter. Kathy is welcome anywhere.
I was looking for a Twitter rocket now that he intends to buy Twitter.
from Wikipedia: Elon Reeve Musk FRS is an entrepreneur, investor, and business magnate. He is the founder, CEO, and Chief Engineer at SpaceX; He is also an early-stage investor, CEO, and Product Architect of Tesla, Inc.; founder of The Boring Company; and co-founder of Neuralink and OpenAI.
I hope Twitter goes into the stratosphere on one of his rockets and not into the ground in one of his Boring tunnels. There might be an animation somewhere there.
There is a lot of criticism and many say they are leaving Twitter, but I read he intends to clean the place up, get rid of all the bots, allow longer posts, add an edit option, and the controversial free speech thing, so I say give him a chance and see what happens.
All this talk of rockets brings a song to mind. .
Baaaah, I'm not allowed to watch it in the UK
@Dave Sutton - WTF?! They are a Glaswegian band! Well, the video was a shortened version anyway. Here's the full album version: (not from Simple Minds Official)
@David Lazarus That one worked, great music!
I have no idea what will happen at twitter. Elon Musk bought it, and recently he is following me too. I was not so active after supporting CloudCamp with events ended. Lately, I'm using Linkedin more.
Elon Musk is talking about free speech. A few days ago I asked what kind of free speech? Today I saw his tweet saying within the law framework.. So I asked which country's law? If I talk against government there is a chance for them to send me to jail, which they did a few people today again.. If he follows US law, so twitter is not a free speech place for me, because government people are over there and checking on people.
Animations looks great
For better or worse, I am primarily on Friendica now. I have a FB account mainly for art and activism here and there. I cannot bring myself to use Twitter. I have a LinkedIn account, but don't much care for it as a platform. It doesn't really suit my needs.
Hihi:) i guess it was a marketing hook, which is first follow people all around the world, make them follow back and then unfollow. He is unfollowing now 😄
@David Lazarus I think you would do well on Twitter.
I have a FB account too, I created a photography page, however I can not use albums any more. I also have a blog page, not using so often lately too. And I really don't like FB any more. I use Instagram instead, posting my photos.
I studied GIS online while at home at pandemic. Now, I am working on own project about how technology moved around since old times. Prepared 2 maps, for 3000BCE and 1100AD, now trying to write a report about it. Planning to work on 2 more maps(for 1901 and probably 2020) and one more report. Maybe I will re-write both as a book later on. That is why Linkedin suits to me.
I'm not sure if I have an account at Friendica, maybe it works with Pluspora? I'm not planning to use Pluspora though.
@Oya Şanlı - If it has not already, Pluspora is coming to an end. Nevertheless, Friendica is federated with Diaspora.
Why only back 5000 years? That only takes you to the last cataclysm. The event which caused Burckle crater in the Indian Ocean southeast of Madagascar. It is currently being debated as to whether the crater is a caldera or an impact crater. Nevertheless, it was this event the caused the "biblical flood" that civilizations across the world have passed down through the generations.
@David Lazarus Because I can find info on internet easily. Even for 3000BCE there is not so much info.
@Oya Şanlı - Well, yes. I just had more ancient times on the brain because I am dealing with a couple of climate deniers on YT.
I replied from mobile using Gmail. At the email there is a "check it out" button, and via clicking on it I was able to reply and comment on mobile.
